Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and cook meals according to individual dietary needs, including texture-modified, allergen-free, and culturally diverse options
• Develop menus in collaboration with dietitians, considering nutritional guidelines and individual preferences
• Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and taste
• Monitor inventory and ensure appropriate food storage and handling practices
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, following food safety protocols
• Collaborate with care staff to provide a positive dining experience for residents/clients
• Adapt to changing menus, dietary requirements, and special events

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a chef, preferably in aged care, disability care, or a similar setting
• Strong culinary skills with the ability to prepare meals for large groups
• Knowledge of dietary restrictions, food allergies, and special dietary needs
• Familiarity with food safety and hygiene regulations
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Compassionate nature and a genuine desire to support individuals with specialized needs
• Relevant certifications in food handling and safety (e.g., Food Safety Supervisor certificate)

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with meal preparation and cooking under the supervision of the Chef or Cook.
• Assisting with food and ingredient preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning.
• Ensuring the kitchen and food preparation areas are clean, tidy, and sanitized.
• Assisting with the serving of meals and beverages to residents and clients.
• Supporting the Chef or Cook in monitoring and maintaining food quality and hygiene standards.
• Adhering to dietary requirements and restrictions of residents and clients.
• Assisting with dishwashing and kitchen cleaning tasks as required.
• Following all health and safety regulations and procedures.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Hand or in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
• A genuine interest in providing quality care and services to elderly and disabled individuals.
• Basic knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Rightcare Staffing Agency is currently seeking reliable, experienced, and compassionate Cleaners to join our team in the aged care and disability care sectors. As a Cleaner, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for residents and clients.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including mopping, dusting, sweeping, and vacuuming.
• Clean and sanitize communal areas, resident rooms, bathrooms, and common spaces.
• Dispose of waste and hazardous materials in accordance with safety protocols.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify the supervisor when restocking is needed.
• Follow infection control procedures to prevent the spread of diseases.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations.

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a Cleaner in aged care or disability care settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of infection control practices and the ability to adhere to strict hygiene standards.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to perform cleaning tasks that involve bending, stooping, and lifting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with residents, clients, and staff members.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Valid police check and working with vulnerable people clearance (or willingness to obtain).
